At Loch Earn in June, the School's A team of Anna Sturrock (sailing a Laser Radial), Tom Mitchell (Topper) and James Gifford (Optimist) successfully plotted a course to victory in the Scottish Schools Sailing Championship, winning the highly-coveted Brown Cup for the School for the first time in almost 50 years!

With 64 entrants from 28 schools taking to the water, the trio had to be at their best over the course of the three-race event in order to seal the title and push Lomond High School into second place and Dunblane High School into third.

The School's B Team members can also be proud of their efforts, with Katie Joss and Eilean Mauritzen (sailing together in an RS Feva) and Suzie Sturrock and Ross Mauritzen (both Toppers) combining to finish in a highly creditable 7th place.

And there was success on an individual front too. In addition to James winning his class, Tom taking 2nd place in his race and Anna securing 3rd in hers, sailing individually for the School Rory Gifford was crowned the Junior School winner.
