About

The High School has an active Parents’ Association (PA), whose role is to liaise between the School and the parent body.

The PA also appoints a member to the School’s Board of Directors.

All parents and guardians of pupils attending the High School of Dundee are automatically members of the Parents' Association. The PA is run by a Committee of twelve members, representing a broad range of age groups within the School. Committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting and serve for three years. The AGM is held in September each year, and all current parents are cordially invited to attend.

The objectives of the PA are:

  • To provide a forum in which parents can discuss matters of importance to them, and to facilitate communication and liaison between parents and the School.
  • To assist the School in whatever ways the parents, in consultation with the Rector, consider suitable.
  • To provide opportunities for all parents to meet socially; and
  • To nominate a member to serve on the Board of Directors of the School.

Get involved!

The PA is currently always looking for volunteers to join its busy committee. If you are an enthusiastic parent and would like to join us, or if you have any questions about what's involved, please get in touch with us at parents@highschoolofdundee.org.uk.

Volunteers are always welcome to get involved with Parents' Association events. We support a wide range of school events, and any time you can spare us - whether on a regular basis, or to help at a single event in the year - would be very gratefully received.

If you would like to get involved or help out, please contact us at parents@highschoolofdundee.org.uk
