Old Boys' Club
2018 / 19 Officials
Mr. Pete Grewar
President of the Old Boys' Club
With a rich and long-standing history of familial attendance, it came as no surprise for Pete Grewar to also be educated at the High School of Dundee. Upon leaving the school in 1995, Pete began working for the family business, Grewar Farming, based in East Perthshire. The business itself has been in operation since 1905, with the fourth generation of Grewars now working for the company, and forever striving towards making their farm more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Additionally, Pete completed a forward-thinking Nuffield scholarship into 'The Future of Global Potato Production'.
Mr. Struan Baptie
Vice-President of the Old Boys' Club
After leaving the School in 1992, Struan went on to study Business and Tourism at Edinburgh Napier University, graduating in 1997. Following on from this, Struan worked for Guinness UDV then Diageo in London as Brand Manager for Bells Whisky. Family involvement in property investment and development led to Struan returning from London to work for J&E Shepherd, a Chartered Surveyors in Dundee, in 2001 in order to build up a property portfolio. A little later, he then launched Struan Baptie Property Management in 2011. In his spare time, Struan enjoys working on his family farm and is greatly interested in developing his business interests.
Mr. Martin Bennett
Secretary of the Old Boys' Club
Leaving the school in 1988, Martin went on to study Law at the University of Aberdeen, graduating from the same in 1993. He now works for Clyde & Co, as a Senior Associate in the Real Estate group and is based in Edinburgh. In addition to his work across the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors, Martin also sits as a Board Director of The Scottish Tourism Alliance, and is heavily involved with the Scottish hospitality charity HIT Scotland.
