The Office of Development

About Us

One of the major missions of the Office of Development is to build and maintain a lifelong, interactive, supportive and mutually-beneficial relationship between the High School of Dundee and its alumni, friends and supporters.

We aim to ensure that our school's community, both in the UK and overseas, enjoy a rewarding and enduring involvement with their former school through social and educational activities, the opportunity to become involved with careers guidance for current pupils, careers networking, advocacy and philanthropic support or to simply remain in touch with friends.

A variation of exciting events take place throughout each calendar year, some administered through the Office of Development, such as FP Reunion. Others are organised and hosted by the school's Constituency Groups The Old Boys' Club, The Old Girls' Club, The FPA and the Friends.

These events range from informal gatherings at local pubs, to sporting activities, to the more formal Reunion Dinners and Ceilidhs. There are a number of new and fresh events that the Office of Development are currently orchestrating that we hope will include art gallery evenings, career networking events nation wide & overseas and even more!

Pupils are automatically enrolled into our Alumni Community on the day of their Prize Giving, immediately giving them access to a terrific resource which they can call upon at any time.

Alumni are also able to remain up-to-date with the school, its events, and news through our annual publication Schola Clara, e-newsletters and also via our social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.

As well as engaging with our alumni, we actively encourage the High School of Dundee community to assist with raising funds which are essential for the continued development of the school, the well-being of its pupils, and the promotion of our shared commitment to inspirational teaching.

Fundraising currently focuses on donations towards our highly important Bursary Fund as well as the school's capital Campaign 2015 - 2020 which will see the reconstruction of Dundee's Former Head Post Office Building transformed into the Meadowside Arts Centre, a true centre of excellence for performing and visual arts.
