Old Girls' Club
2018 / 19 Officials
Mrs. Pam Sinclair
President of the Old Girls' Club
An avid participant in all sporting activities throughout her time at the school, Pam left the High School of Dundee in 1971 to study Nursing at the University of Abertay Dundee. After obtaining her BA, RGN and GSSR Pamela pursued a career in the medical field, working as a Nursing Sister until her retirement. Pamela has had heavy involvement with the Old Girls' Club for many years, actively assisting with organising the Club's annual events.
Mrs. Judy Watson
Vice-President of the Old Girls' Club
Commencing her education with the school in 1958, Judy was in the same class as President, Pam, and the pair have remained best friends ever since. Leaving the school in 1963 to attend boarding school, it was only when her sons, Simon and Mark, were enrolled at the school that Judy's connection with her alma mater was renewed. Judy spent 15 years working in the Middle East once her sons were grown up, and it was here that she worked as a PA to the Chief of Accident & Emergency at the Saudi Aramco Company Hospital. Whilst living the expat lifestyle, Judy travelled to a wide variety of countries including Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, eventually returning to Dundee in 2013 to spend time with her young grandchildren. Outside of work Judy is a keen golfer, tennis player, an avid reader and a lover of gardening.
Mrs. Ashley Petrie
Junior Vice-President of the Old Girls' Club
Ashley, a former pupil from Class Year 1993, has strong familial ties to the school with her brother Richard, and father William also being former pupils. Beginning her career working within the hospitality sector Ashley discovered her love of people and being able to communicate with them to solve their problems. Further down the line, Ashley enrolled at teacher training college, even returning to the High School of Dundee for a short time as a Junior Years Supply Teacher. Ashley now owns her own business, Ashley Petrie Consultancy, where she offers training programmes to businesses and their employees.
Mrs. Maureen Wilkinson
Secretary of the Old Girls' Club
Along with brother Douglas, Maureen attended the High School of Dundee, and thoroughly enjoyed playing hockey and tennis, with a particular academic interest in mathematics. Upon leaving in 1976, Maureen went on to study Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh. However, she decided that this was not the path that she wished to follow and instead went on to work in the Medical Research Department at a laboratory at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Later in life Maureen became self-employed, producing embroidery for school sports teams and other bodies.
Ms. Alison MacLeod
Treasurer of the Old Girls' Club
A member of the class of 1985, Alison has held the role of Treasurer since 2015, having initially joined the Old Girls’ Committee five years prior in 2010. One of a long line of Burnetts to grace the High School corridors, Alison went on to study at Edinburgh University and stayed in the capital raising her family until 2007, at which point she returned to Dundee, with her three children consequently enrolling at the High School. This gave her the opportunity to reacquaint herself with the school, and she has since enjoyed supporting the Old Girls’ activities through a variety of roles and projects.
