In recent years, Graeme Dey, MSP for Angus South, has come into the school to talk to Modern Studies classes about the role of an MSP after being contacted by pupils in his constituency.

However, with that option currently unavailable, the Minister for Parliamentary Business and Veterans offered to take part in a Zoom call with F3 Modern Studies pupils instead.

The pupils took the opportunity to grill Mr Dey on subjects ranging from Coronavirus and Scottish independence to the economy, nuclear submarines in the Clyde and much, much more!

He said, "This now annual Q&A was as enjoyable as ever, even though conducting it virtually was a bit different.

"The questions were as considered and pertinent as ever.”

History and Modern Studies teacher Lucy Jack, said, “As always, the Q&A with Graeme Dey provided an informative and entertaining lesson.

“The pupils were able to quiz him on a variety of issues and learn about government decision making processes.”
