In addition to regular games practices, the PE department have been running their Get Active co-curricular programme.

Taking place every weekday after school, the sessions have participation at their core and, in the absence of competitive fixtures, aim to give pupils the chance to keep active by coming along and trying out some new activities.

The sessions are open to pupils from F1 to F6 and in recent weeks have featured activities ranging from yoga to HIIT (High-intensity Interval training) workouts to girls rugby.

Head of PE and Games, Ewan Jack, said, "The sessions have proven very popular with pupils and also PE staff who have been working hard to devise new content in response to Covid.

"It's hoped that this programme can continue to expand and develop as the transferable skills in terms of aspects like movements and fitness acquired are beneficial for all physical activities."
