A warm welcome to Blue Planet Penguin!

The High School of Dundee's Blue Planet Penguin is now in place outside the school gatesThe sadness of waving goodbye to our pupils for the summer holidays has been offset by the joy in seeing a very special guest arrive on Euclid Crescent!

The School was delighted when Blue Planet Penguin, the statue it is sponsoring as part of Maggie's Penguin Parade, was unveiled outside the gates just in time for our youngsters to give it a very warm welcome before they headed off on vacation.

The colourful penguin, which was painted by talented F6 artists Morven Wright, Joanna Brunton and Lily Bircham using pupil Rebecca Hamilton's amazing Blue Planet II inspired design, will stand on proud display in front of the school until September 7th.

It is one of 80 such, individually designed and decorated statues which have waddled into Dundee and surrounding areas for a mass public art trail in support of Maggie's Dundee.

The School is proud to be able to support such a fantastic cause and if you haven't seen our penguin yet, please come and have a look!
