Pupils in F1 to F3 (S1-S3) had an amazing time learning how to take the best care of their bodies and minds in HSD’s Project Wellbeing.
The 3-day event was centred around Dr Rangan Chatterjee’s 4 pillars of health – movement, sleep, food and relaxation.
With a focus on mental health, it was jam-packed with engaging activities and sessions ranging from yoga, somatic healing, musical therapy and kick-boxing, to nutrition advice, arts and mindfulness, visualisation, emotional freedom techniques and peer support.
The pupils also had the chance to find out more about HSD’s Wellbeing Hub, the School Nurse Service, and the nutritious food available in the School’s new dining facility.
PCS teachers Sarah Guy and Lucy Jack organised the event. They said, “Building on the success of our first Project Wellbeing in 2024, we introduced a streamlined version this year: Project Wellbeing ‘Lite’, which ran over three lunchtimes.
“This initiative offered pupils the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops led by local experts in Movement, Food, Sleep, and Relaxation.
“The goal was to equip students with practical tools and strategies to support their mental health and overall wellbeing.”
The event wouldn’t have been possible without a huge range of local organisations and practitioners who gave up their time to run sessions for our young people!
