You can choose where you would like your donation to go. Our main funds are:
Around 13% of our Senior pupils receive some form of financial support towards their tuition fees. The Foundation makes an annual grant to the School in support of the Bursary Fund and this relies on your donations to make this possible.
Throughout the year The Foundation receives donations into the General Fund which are used to help the school provide the very best teaching and learning environment for our young people. Requests come from various departments of the school for a range of equipment and initiatives that will enhance current provisions.
You can make a monthly, quarterly or yearly donation by downloading and returning one of our Giving Forms here
Leaving a planned gift to the school is a very personal decision but one that will make a real difference to young people who benefit from the experience an HSD education. Your gift can include a monetary donation, or a part of your estate, property, works of art, a policy or a trust.
Leaving a gift is simple and can either be included in a new will or added as a codicil to an existing will. It is free from inheritance tax and capital gains tax and we recommend you seek legal advice before making your decision. If you do decide to leave a legacy please do contact the Development Office to let us know your intentions.
You can specify how you would like your funds to be used, or let the School allocate the funds on your behalf. Are you interested in music, art or science? Perhaps you would like to support a certain area or activity. If you are unsure which area to support, you can direct your planned gift to a specific part of the curriculum, co-curriculum, the estate or the School in general (where we will direct your contribution to the area of greatest need).
Whether you would like to establish a fund in your name, or in the name of a loved one, or leave your gift anonymously please complete the form below or reach out to the Development Office who will be more than happy to talk through your gift intention so we are able to honour your wishes.
On our giving forms, there is the option to tick a box to confirm that you wish to include Gift Aid with your donation. The Gift Aid Scheme enables the school to claim tax relief on all donations made by UK taxpayers, automatically increasing the value of your gift by 25% and at no additional cost to you!
