The HSD L7 girls hockey team returned from Edinburgh with silverware after winning the Plate competition in the Erskine Stewart’s Melville Primary Schools’ Tournament!

Following victories in their first two group-stage matches against Strathallan (5-0) and St George’s (2-1), the girls qualified for the next round, where a tense match against George Watson’s saw them win on penalties.

They then faced off against Glasgow Academy in the final and, despite being two goals down at halftime, the team showed their resilience and produced two goals in the final four minutes.

That brought the game to penalties, with the HSD players converting all three to secure the win!
