At The High School of Dundee we’re passionate about music. We are committed to giving our pupils the chance to discover the music that moves them, inspiring them to play it and then giving them the confidence to get a real thrill from performing it.
Did you know that we have 85 concerts or events each year at which our pupils perform?
But providing our young people with these opportunities requires considerable investment and that’s why we need your help. The cost of maintaining and replacing the instruments on which our pupils learn and perform is significant. In addition, there are a number of instruments that would enhance the wonderful performances that our talented young musicians give even further.
For instance:
If you’d like to support music-making at HSD, please consider donating to our Instrument Fund.
I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that if I pay less income tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give or have given in the last four tax years.
If you are planning to leave a gift to the school and would like it to go towards the Music Instrument Fund, please let us know so we can be sure that your gift is directed accordingly.
On our giving forms, there is the option to tick a box to confirm that you wish to include Gift Aid with your donation. The Gift Aid Scheme enables the school to claim tax relief on all donations made by UK taxpayers, automatically increasing the value of your gift by 25% and at no additional cost to you! You can find a Gift Aid Declaration Form below.
