Snowmen, elves, reindeer and even Santa himself have been lighting up the stage in Trinity Hall this week as pupils in the Early Years performed their Nativity show!
Every child in L1-3, joined by some L4 pupils, played a part in The Night Before Christmas, a spectacular seasonal production packed full of memorable songs and colourful characters.
As the audience took their seats, they were transported to Christmas Eve and bedtime for Andrew and Sarah.
However, not everyone is sleeping… a Jack-in the-Box and two of the children’s favourite toys, Woody and Jessie, come to life. Andrew and Sarah, along with the family dog and some pesky mice, experience the most magical Christmas Eve. Have the children made the good list and will Santa leave them gifts…?
All was revealed in a series of magical performances for proud parents, family, pupils and staff!
Money raised through a collection at this year’s performances will be donated to The Archie Foundation.
Claire Proudfoot, Show Director and Deputy Head of the Junior Years said, “I believe the Nativity is a rite of passage at the High School of Dundee and all our pupils remember their Nativity fondly. It’s also an opportunity on a stage with lights, camera and action – something that few children of this young age experience! They all gain something from it, often in ways we don’t anticipate. For these reasons and more, the Nativity is a significant event in the lives of our pupils and I feel privileged to lead it.”
Early Years parents can see recordings of the performances on Firefly, with photos to follow week beginning 16th December.
