Friendships Forged At HSD!

Two generations of friendships forged at HSD.

Our school year 2023/24 got underway on Wednesday and as we welcomed our returning pupils and all our new faces, it was fantastic to hear a lovely story of friendships forged over many years at HSD!

Among the children starting L1 were Bertie and Daniel, who moved up together from the High School of Dundee Nursery having become firm friends during their time there.

The two pals are following in the footsteps of their respective brothers, Alex and Michael who are also friends in the Junior Years.

But the friendships don’t end there! Andrew (father of Bertie and Alex) and Allen (father of Daniel and Michael) are also best friends, having remained so since meeting when they started at HSD.

What’s more, Bertie’s grandmother and Daniel’s grandfather were both in the same year group at HSD too.

And last but not least, the connection to HSD goes all the way back to Bertie’s Great grandfather, Sandy Wardlaw, who was a Science teacher at the School back in the 1930’s!

Here’s to more fantastic friendships being forged at HSD in the weeks, months and years ahead!
