HSD pupils returned from the Dundee Schools Sports Championships with a haul of more than 60 medals to show for their amazing efforts!
Taking place at the end of June, the event at Caird Park saw pupils from secondary schools from across the city compete in a full range of athletic events.
And HSD pupils did themselves proud, winning a phenomenal 24 individual gold medals, 21 individual silvers and 15 individual bronzes, as well as 5 relay titles!
Several HSD pupils earned themselves multiple medals and what’s more, some outstanding performances resulted in several brand-new Dundee Schools Championships records being set, with: Maisie McKenzie setting 3 new S1 girls marks (100m; 200m; High Jump); Ella Morenikeji also beating the previous record in the S1 girls 100m; and Greyson Geddes beating the existing Scottish Schools U13 boys 100m record.
And HSD records were also broken on the day by Maisie (High Jump), Greyson (100m) and Lily Kennedy (200m)!
Well done to everyone who took part in the Dundee Schools Sports Championships. What an amazing effort!
