Show-stopping entertainment came to Mayfield as F2 and F3 took part in Action on the Arts!
During Activities Week, over consecutive days the entire year-groups took it in turns to create, rehearse and then perform sensational The Greatest Showman-inspired acts.
Working in their school houses, the pupils got busy perfecting group dances, uplifting vocals, amazing acrobatics and stupendous circus skills (with help from Circus Sensible), as well as making their own colourful props.
Then it was out into the sunshine to deliver their fantastic, energetic performances for a panel of judges who had an incredibly hard job in picking the winners!
The event was rounded off in style with each year-group joining together as one to give a joint performance – an amazing, colourful spectacle of fun, expression and creativity!
Head of English Mandy Tevendale, said, “We had a joyful couple of days in the Mayfield sunshine watching pupils pull together a wide range of skills to produce final shows that made us very proud of them indeed.”
