We would like to say a huge congratulations to all of the 2024 SQA candidates at the High School of Dundee who have today received their exam results.
We are immensely proud of every one of them and congratulate them and all their wonderful teachers for their hard work and dedication, which has been rewarded with an impressive set of results that continue the School’s outstanding tradition of examination success.
– At Higher level, our pupils achieved a pass rate of 89.2%, with 54.1% A grades
– At Advanced Higher level, the pass rate was 87.2%, with 44.2% A grades
– At National 5, our F4 pupils achieved a pass rate of 95.3%, with 71.8% A grades
Many of our class of 2024 have chosen to apply for university entrance and they are now getting ready to reap the rewards of all their hard work, taking up places across Scotland and beyond – including Oxford and Cambridge – studying a diverse range of subjects. We wish all our leavers the very best as they begin the next exciting phases of their lives.
Rector Lise Hudson said: “I am delighted for our pupils. They should be very proud of their results, which are the culmination of a huge amount of effort both from the pupils and from their teachers who work incredibly hard to nurture and inspire all of our young people.
“Our goal is to provide every one of our pupils with the support and skills they need to fulfil their potential, achieve amazing things and ultimately embark on exciting future paths based on their passions, interests and talents. It’s always wonderful to see that end result come to fruition.”
As a part of our Post-Exam Service to pupils and parents, senior members of staff and Pastoral Care and Support Teachers are on hand for any pupils requiring support and advice.
We very much look forward to welcoming all our community back for the start of session 2024-25 in a few short weeks.
