The High School of Dundee’s U16 rugby team have been crowned 2024 Scottish Schools U16 Plate Champions!
The boys lifted the title following an epic 28-24 win over Hutchesons’ Grammar at the Hive Stadium at Murrayfield.
Cheered on by a fantastic support, the squad built on their half-time lead to seal the win, with a player of the match award for HSD’s Andrew Coulson rounding off a superb achievement.
Meanwhile, our 1st XV played their part in a thrilling U18 Scottish Schools Shield competition final on Murrayfield’s international pitch.
The boys put on a valiant display in what was a second successive final in this competition for the School, but ultimately it wasn’t meant to be as George Watson’s College earned a hard-fought win.
But what an occasion to be involved in, with a wonderful HSD support in full voice throughout and an inspiring performance by the School’s Pipe Band beforehand adding hugely to the experience at the home of Scottish rugby.
Huge congratulations to both our teams, and everyone involved, on their fantastic achievements in the Scottish Schools tournament!
