Congratulations to all of our pupils who have today been receiving SQA exam results.
We are hugely proud of every one of them and congratulate them and all their wonderful teachers for their hard work and dedication. It has been rewarded with an impressive set of results which continue the School’s outstanding tradition of examination success.

- At Advanced Higher level, the pass rate was 89.6%, with 50.3% A grades
- At National 5, the pass rate was 93.6%, with 67% A grade
Beyond the headline figures are further demonstrations of superb achievement: at Higher level in F5 30% of candidates achieved at least 5As, with 19% of all Higher papers graded Band 1; at Advanced Higher level, 20% of candidates gained at least 3 As; in F4 at National 5 level 62% of pupils achieved five or more As, while 22% achieved eight or more As.
98% of the class of 2025 are off to study at university or their alternative destination of choice, taking up places across Scotland and beyond, studying a hugely diverse range of subjects. We wish all our leavers the very best as they begin the next exciting phases of their lives.
Rector Lise Hudson said: “We are thrilled for our pupils and they should feel very proud of their results. They are the culmination of a huge amount of effort from the pupils, inspired and nurtured by outstanding teachers and staff who go the extra mile.
“Our ultimate goal is to provide every one of our pupils with the support and skills they need to fulfil their potential, achieve amazing things and unlock their own exciting futures, wherever they lie. To see that happen is always hugely rewarding for everyone at the High School.”
