Pupils wow audience with superb Winter Concert

Pupils and staff performing at Caird Hall in Winter Concert

Amazing young HSD musicians wowed the audience with superb performances at the School’s Winter Concert.

The Caird Hall was buzzing as pupils right the way from L4 through to F6 entertained the audience with a huge range of numbers, spanning multiple genres.

Taking to the stage were: the School’s Novice A Pipe Band; Boys’ Choir; L4-5 Choir; Symphonic Band; Sinfonia; Girls’ Choir; Clarsach Ensemble; L6-7 Choir; and Symphony Orchestra.

There were pop, classical and traditional renditions, film pieces, and festive favourites, all rounded off with a stunning complete performance of Haydn’s Symphony No. 97.

A real demonstration of the breadth of musical opportunities that we are proud to be able to offer our young people, and – aided by the dedicated support of their music teachers – of the musical talents of our pupils.

The concert was held in aid of The teenage Cancer Trust.
