HSD pupils sail round Inner Hebrides

During the summer holidays, a group of intrepid HSD explorers set sail for an amazing sea-bound adventure.

Ten F2 and F3 pupils boarded a 70ft Ocean Youth Trust tall ship in Oban to begin navigating their way around the Inner Hebrides.

Over the course of seven days the group journeyed through some stunning locations, pulling together to take on responsibilities in all aspects, ranging from maintaining the yacht and cooking, to navigation.

As trip leader, Outdoor Activities Co-ordinator, Gordon Ross said, “They arrived as a group and left as a team.”
