Let’s make some noise for a quintet of HSD Pipe Band members who are celebrating selection for a prestigious collective!
Well done to Tom, Ksenia, Blair, Aaron and Charlotte who are now members of the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland!
The pupils were invited to join after coming through a challenging audition process which included submitting a video of themselves performing, taking part in a workshop day, and attending an interview.
They will now have the chance to rehearse and perform with talented fellow members from across the country, under the leadership of expert tutors from the pipe band world.
The School’s Pipe Major, David Wilton, said, “Congratulations to the pupils, being selected for the NYPBS is a fantastic achievement.
“This is by far our largest intake and a fantastic sign of the standard our pupils are reaching.”
