Ahead of the holidays, we hosted our first-ever HSD Biology Poster Conference, celebrating creative, enquiry-based learning!
F1 pupils showcased research on individual organisms of their choosing, impressing guest biologist Dr Kimberley Bennett with their confidence and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Alastair, overall winner for his project on sperm whales, and to Amber and Harry for their highly commended posters! 🎖️
F6 pupils presented pilot studies for their Advanced Higher projects, earning praise for their creative and critical thinking. Well done to Cameron, overall winner for his research on protoplasts, and to Grace and Msughter for their highly commended work! 👏
Dr Bennett’s talk on science communication rounded off a very inspiring evening which gave our pupils (and parents) plenty to think about! 💡🧬
