Our Form 1 Chemistry pupils just wrapped up the summer term with an exciting Forensic Chemistry course—and it ended with a bang!
Over the past few weeks the pupils have transformed into junior forensic scientists, learning how to analyse unknown substances, test using various chemical reactions, and interpret their lab results.
Their mission? Solve a mock murder mystery using real analytical lab techniques!
From poison pen ink chromatography to suspicious substance flame tests, they pieced together the evidence, examined suspects, and finally identified the culprit through their scientific deduction.
This real-world lab experience not only brought chemistry to life but sparked their curiosity, promoted teamwork, and piqued their critical thinking.
The lab was buzzing with excitement, and the truth has been revealed: Forensic science learning is awesome!
Future chemists, detectives, and problem-solvers in the making!
