It’s that time of year when Senior Years pupils at HSD have some difficult decisions to make – thanks to the School’s Co-curricular Fair!
Taking place in Trinity Hall, the annual freshers fair style event showcased the huge range of exciting activities which pupils in F1-F6 can get stuck into outside of their timetabled lessons.
The Fair gave pupils the chance to chat to the teachers and peers who run the clubs to find out more, and in some cases, even get a taste of the action!
With something for everyone though – from archaeology, machine knitting and a Lego league, to debating, climbing and rocket building, not to mention sports and music opportunities – the pupils now have the tough task of narrowing their choices down to a manageable number!
Ewan Jack, Head of Senior Years Co-curriculum, said, “We’re very fortunate that we have staff, and an increasing number of pupils, who are willing to offer such a fantastic and extensive array of co-curricular clubs and activities to our young people. The HSD Co-curricular Fair is a great way to showcase what’s on offer.
“The Co-curriculum is a huge part of life at HSD as it provides our pupils with the opportunity to discover and follow their interests, passions and talents, while concurrently refining skills and making new friends along the way! I would encourage all of our pupils to embrace the vast opportunities which are on offer.”
