Co-curricular Fair launches multitude of options for pupils

Cocurricular Fair 2025

The new school year might be just under way but the HSD co-curriculum is already in full swing!

Senior Years pupils recently discovered the huge range of exciting activities they can get stuck into outside of their timetabled lessons when they attended the Co-curricular Fair.

The annual freshers fair style event gives pupils the chance to chat to the teachers and peers who run the clubs to find out more, and in some cases, even get a taste of the action!

There’s something for everyone, from climbing club and the school newspaper, to Model UN, the Combined Cadet Force and Warhammer – not to mention countless sports and music opportunities!

Co-curriculum Co-ordinator Stephen Ferguson, said, “It is great that our staff, as well as senior pupils, are willing to lead these clubs and activities, sharing their skills, interests and passions. We have such a wide spread of activities on offer, and the Co-curricular Fair had such a buzz about it. People are really excited about this aspect of school life.

“I think it is so important that pupils have these opportunities and that they are encouraged to make the most of what is on offer. Pupils take up hobbies they keep doing well beyond school and make friendships that last a lifetime.”
