With a reputation for academic excellence and strong exam results, the High School of Dundee is the first choice for many professionals and their children.
Over time, we have built up an understanding of the needs of professionals across various industries, both academically and practically.
From an academic point of view, smaller class sizes help us achieve bigger results. Our track record in exams – particularly the STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering, maths – is excellent. And our success rate for applications to the higher tariff university courses which are required for many professions is exceptional. For instance in the last 3 years, 100% of our university Medical applicants have been offered places.
We also excel from a practical point of view. Our before and after school care requires no booking. So if you are delayed at work you can be sure your child is being looked after. We have a huge programme of co-curricular activities that are conveniently ‘all under one roof’ – which can save you time in a particularly demanding day.
Located in the heart of the city, the High School of Dundee is unique. Despite our ambition for our pupils, there is a friendly, family feel about us. Many families come to us having re-located and we welcome them with open arms. Respecting others is important to us: and we are one of only three junior school in Dundee to have achieved the Gold Award for Unicef’s Rights Respecting Schools.
