Pupils visited by acclaimed author

Pupils in F2 and F3 recently enjoyed a workshop with the acclaimed author William Sutcliffe, whose books include The Wall, The Circus of Thieves series and Whatever Makes You Happy, among others. 

After reading from his latest story for young adults, the comic tale ‘The Gifted, The Talented and Me’, the novelist gave the pupils some insight into writing techniques and staged some improvisations to explore how to come up with dialogue and create interesting scenes.    

He said, “It was lovely to meet the pupils. They were really engaged during the session and they did a great job with the improvisations.”
