Pupils drum up competition success

In the City of Brechin Online Solo Competition, Rohan Seenarine was named the winner of the Novice Drumming category, while Emily Hough took third place in the Under 18 Drumming MSR (March, Strathspey and Reel). 

Held virtually, the event saw competitors from as far afield as the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia submitting videos for the adjudicators. 
 
The School’s Drum Sergeant, Steven Graham, said, “Both Rohan and Emily performed very well and should be very proud of their efforts. 
 
“After winning his event, Rohan moves up a grade and will compete in the March, Strathspey and Reel competitions from now on. This contest was Emily’s first-ever competitive performance of an MSR, and to place third at her first attempt was a great achievement.”
