Pupils Ksenia Kapelyukh, Hope Barrie, Anisha Azad and Harry Paul, and teachers Karlene Douglas and Jillian Wallace gave up the first day of their mid-term break to help the charity sort the huge number of donations it has received in recent months.

During their time at the organisation’s warehouse, the pupils also had the chance to learn more about the Foodbank and its work to tackle food poverty and hunger in the local community.

Last year sadly, Dundee Foodbank had its most demanding year yet, feeding over 14,000 people in the city with three-day emergency Foodbank parcels.
