On Saturday, Rory Grant, Alistair Clark, Mitchell Clark, Josh Gordon, Oliver Gordon, Mitchell Carling and Angus Harrold were part of a collection of 275 young pipers from across Scotland who were invited to perform and record Highland Cathedral with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

The recording, which will feature on the band’s forthcoming album, Fresh Air, took place at Tyncastle Stadium in Edinburgh.

And there was further cause for celebration for High School pipers at the weekend as the six pupils who competed in the Strathmore Junior Piping Competition at Webster’s High School, returned from Kirriemuir with a series of impressive results.
