High School pipers bag impressive results

A contingent of 11 pupils from the Junior and Senior Years recently travelled to Pitlochry to take part in the Vale of Atholl Solo Piping Championships where they competed against around 40 other entrants in pipes and chanter categories.

Proving they were in tune with the demands of the contest, the High School pipers earned themselves a series of prize placings, with pride of place going to Liam Brown after he was crowned age 15-18 Champion of the Day.

David Wilton, the School’s Pipe Major said, “The pupils can be very proud of their efforts. It’s very pleasing to see consistently high results at all stages.”
