Old Boys' Club Golf Outing

Any time can be tee time, but the Old Boys Club chose the perfect Scottish summer's day for their annual Golf Outing which took place on Sunday 13 May 2018 at Strathmore Golf Centre, ably organised by Graeme Spowart.

As well as warm and calm weather conditions, golfers enjoyed wonderful company and a fantastic course to contest the Stuart Trophy and the George Chalmers Trophy.

Nick Cunningham was the lucky winner of the Handicap / Stableford Competition for the Stuart Trophy, with current President Colin Dargie's team winning the Linton Plate.

Former President, Doug Bett, was crowned the winner of the George Chalmers Trophy for the Scratch Competition.

As well as participants from the OBC, there were also two teams of Old Girls who competed for their own Club Trophies.

Overall, competition was fierce and ultimately there was only one stableford point between the President's and Vice-President's Teams, which saw the President's Team coming out as the victors.

Pete Arbuckle won the Nearest to the Pin at 6, with Nick Cunningham being awarded the Longest Drive at 18. The booby prize competition scored a 'hat-trick' with current Vice-President, Pete Grewar, being the third Vice-President to win this for the third year in succession.
