The Old Boys' Club of-fish-ially reunited for their annual Angling Excursion on Tuesday 8th June.

The group of 12 anglers met for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic begun to take to the waters of Lintrathen Loch in Glen Isla in the hopes of securing a great catch.

The evening went swimmingly with Jamie Stewart (Class of 1984) securing 1st place and being awarded the Allardyce Trophy.

In second place was event organiser and angling enthusiast, Angus Carnegie (Class of 1982) who was awarded the Ridgeway Trophy. Joint third place were Jack Hamilton (Class of 2014) and Innes Wright (Class of 1984).

Dan Scott (Class of 1986) proved that good things come to those who bait by catching the first ever brown trout before releasing it back into the waters of Lintrathen Loch.

Angus would be delighted for any Former Pupils to join them for this annual event going forwards. He says the group have the motto of "the more the merrier" and would be thrilled to welcome more people in the future.

The Angling Excursion takes place on the second Tuesday of June each year from around 4pm until dusk. A buffet, fizz and a catch up takes place before the angling competition begins. If you are interested in joining 2022's excursion, please e-mail Angus directly at: carnegiefamily@yahoo.co.uk
