Nursery children go the distance at Sports Day!

Children at the High School of Dundee Nursery were delighted to be under starter’s orders for their annual Sports Days!

High School of Dundee Nursery Sports Days

This year, to comply with Covid restrictions, 4 separate Days were held – two for each of the groups which the children have been allocated to this year.

Itching for their events to get up and running, the youngsters paraded from the Mary Lily Walker Building to the adjoining Mayfield playing fields, waving their handmade flags to add to the sense of occasion!

On the field the pupils then competed in hurdles, hula-hoop, beanbag, sprinting and egg and spoon races, knocking it out of the park with their enthusiasm!

Nursery Manager Sarah Tosh said, “We missed out so much last year so it was lovely to have the Sports Days happen this year, even with COVID restrictions in place. The children thoroughly enjoyed them and it was lovely for all staff to see them having a lovely time.”
