Junior Years pupils get ready to perform Aladdin Jnr!

If you’re after some fantastic family fun then you’re in luck - pupils at the High School of Dundee are getting ready to grant your wish!

High School of Dundee's production of Aladdin

Forget about a certain forthcoming silver screen reboot, children in the Junior Years are preparing to bring a blockbuster version of Disney’s Aladdin Jnr to the stage of the Gardyne Theatre next month!

From June 11th to 14th, the genie will be out of the bottle, or rather the lamp, when pupils in L6/L7 transport audiences to the middle-eastern town of Agrabah to tell the tale of Aladdin’s quest to win the heart of Princess Jasmine and foil the evil Jafar’s plans to take over the royal throne.

Aladdin

Can the hero help Jasmine discover ‘a whole new world’? And will the Genie’s wish for freedom ever come true?!

Packed with an array of colourful characters and a collection of catchy tunes, the shows promise spectacular entertainment for all the family.

Tickets for the performances, which take place nightly at the Theatre at 7.30pm, are available now from the Junior School. Friday night is already sold out so act fast to avoid disappointment!
