Inspiring talk for pupils studying Mandarin

Mr Valentine, Chairman and Managing Director of Valentine International Business Connections and an International Trade Ambassador for China with the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, spoke about his business experiences in China and the importance of learning a language.

The former Angus Council assistant chief executive and head of economic development, who in 2021 was made an honorary citizen of Shandong province in China, also shared some language tips and anecdotes from his work in building Chinese-Scottish relations over 25 years.

The talk was organised by the School’s Teacher of Mandarin, Yunchao Murdoch.
