HSD Team wins through to UK final

Well done to a team of High School of Dundee pupils who have earned a spot in the grand final of the John Stuart Mill Cup!

A team of HSD pupils have made it through to the John Stuart Mill Cup finals

The UK-wide annual competition – which this year is taking place online - sees S4 to S6-aged pupils discuss ethical issues of public concern, with their insightfulness, thoughtfulness and civility scored by a judging panel.

In the regional qualifying tournament, the HSD quartet - Anisha Azad, Isla Hutchinson, Sarah Richmond and Reuben Stewart – came through three preliminary rounds and a semi-final, to earn a spot in the final, following which they were declared regional co-champions with Banchory Academy.

As a result, the team will now take part the overall UK final, hosted by St Andrews University, in June.
