HSD’s Junior and Senior Piano Days are a pair of annual events which allow pupils to share their passion for the instrument  by performing in front of an audience in Trinity Hall.

With the last in-person Senior Piano Day having taken place in 2020, and the last Junior Years edition  in 2019, the event was much anticipated.  And it was made extra special as the young pianists were able to tickle the ivories of the brand-new grand piano that had been delivered  just the previous day!

During the event, the pupils had the chance to perform in front of their classmates, followed by a recital concert for parents and friends in the evening.

Organisers Stephen Armstrong and Avril Evans were delighted to be back in Trinity Hall after two years of online events.

Stephen said, “This is a very special day for piano players at the High School of Dundee! Every pupil is on a different journey and each one told a different story in what they chose to play.

“The piano teachers at the school are passionate about giving our pupils the opportunity to perform and we are proud of every pianist who took part whether only during the day or in the evening recital!”

Well done to all of our talented pianists!
