Sneha Sripda was named as the winner of the Burgess Short Story Competition, an annual contest open to S3 pupils from across Dundee.

Sneha won the top prize for her thought-provoking composition ‘Ava’, which tells the tale of a how a visit to the Dundee of 2018, by a group of time travellers from the future, ends in disaster.

Fellow High School of Dundee pupil Rebecca Hamilton also enjoyed success in the competition, receiving a worthy mention at the awards ceremony which was hosted by the Lord Provost at the City Chambers last night.
