Hearts of Gold campaign launched

The High School of Dundee is launching a campaign which aims to ensure it can offer a place to any pupil who would thrive within the school, regardless of their financial circumstances

We are committed to being a school which gives pupils from a wide range of backgrounds the chance to reach their full potential, by offering means-tested bursaries for places at the School to eligible families.

Every year we allocate around £1m in support to families of pupils in L6 to F6, with 17% of pupils in the Senior Years currently receiving some means-tested financial assistance.

Our overall aim is to be able to offer a place to any pupil who would benefit from a High School of Dundee education, even if their families may not have the means themselves.

But the reality is that the demand for bursaries is higher than the funds that we have available.

With our Hearts of Gold Campaign, we invite you to consider making a financial contribution towards our bursary funds, creating a lasting legacy that will enable children from all backgrounds to benefit from an HSD education and realise their true potential.

It is always heart-warming for the school when former pupils tell us that the gift of a High School of Dundee education has had a truly transformative impact on their lives - in a variety of different ways - and we would love to be able to support even more young people for generations to come.

By supporting our campaign, you can help us do that. All donations, no matter their size, can help to transform the lives of our young people and create a legacy that we can all be proud of.
