The event, organised by angling enthusiast Gus Carnegie (Class of 1982), went swimmingly with the 11 Old Boys tucking into a delicious buffet beforehand to fuel themselves for the evening ahead.

It’s definitely true to say that good things come to those who bait as a total of 25 fish were caught weighing in at a whopping 63lbs! The youngest angler this year, Jack Hamilton (Class of 2014), was crowned the overall winner with his catch of 4 fish weighing in at 9 ¾ lbs.

Gus said of the evening ‘the event was yet another success with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves. I have to say a very well done to Jack, our champion this year, for his impressive catch!’
