The 1st XI squad have qualified for the quarter-finals of the SISFA (Scottish Independent Schools Football Association) U18 Cup courtesy of an impressive league campaign that saw them complete a hattrick of Northern Region titles for the School.

Although the boys missed out on the chance to seal an unprecedented third undefeated league campaign in a row for HSD when they lost out to Gordonstoun in their last fixture, the championship - and therefore progress to the national knockout competition - had already been secured.

And with the School having recorded 15 wins, 1 draw and just 1 defeat across the last three Northern Region seasons, the boys will have a formidable record of form behind them when they take on George Watson’s in the last eight encounter at Letham, Perth at 12.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday 13 March).

Coach Scott McBride said, “When it gets to the knockout matches the pressure is on to perform and the boys are really looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
