Festival of Kindness supports Social Bite

During December, HSD has been supporting the charity Social Bite’s ‘Tree of Kindness’ campaign, which aims to gather and distribute to homeless and vulnerable people a range of items which they need the most.

As part of a Festival of Kindness, across the School three ‘Trees of Kindness' were in place, under which donations of gifts from the Social Bite wish list could be made.

Today, after the Junior Years Rotakids and the Senior Years Interact teams had sorted all of the donations, the bumper collection was taken to City Square to be handed over to the charity.

As part of its Festival, the School also organised Post Boxes of Kindness, allowing pupils to write a letter or card for someone to read on Christmas-Eve, and staged its annual Christmas Jumper Day.

Well done and a huge thank you to everyone who donated a gift.
