Emergency Services Bring Road Safety Talks to High School

F6 pupils received talks from firefighters, paramedics and police officers last week as part of our Safe Drive Stay Alive event.

Senior pupils with visiting firefighters.

The lessons showed our older pupils – many of whom have just started driving themselves – how dangerous it is to be distracted or under the influence behind the wheel.

Jane Fulton, who organised the talks, said: “After taking the F6 pupils through a series of lessons on Safe Driving, in class, Mrs Jack and I felt very strongly that we needed to engage outside speakers to robustly underpin the importance of keeping safe behind the wheel.

“The sessions were sombre and shocking in content, but vital in equipping our young people with as much knowledge on RTA prevention as possible.”
