The quartet of Calum Skea (skip), Ben Watson, Keir Chalmers and Finlay Ewart put on an impressive display at Curl Aberdeen last weekend to reach the semi-finals – becoming the first HSD team to make it that far for a number of years.

After topping their group, courtesy of victories in all three games, the boys won their quarter-final against Webster’s High School to reach the last 4, where they lost out by the narrowest possible margin to Perth Academy 1.

Calum, Ben and Keir also had further cause for celebration this week, having been part of the four-strong team that on Tuesday was presented with the trophy for winning the Thornton League – Dundee's main league competition.

Well done boys!
