The cadets developed their clearance-building skills using paintball weapons, and on the shooting range, Corporal Charlotte Dorman came out on top as the best shot of the day.

The pupils also had the chance to take full advantage of Barry Buddon’s location by exploring the caves of the Angus coast.

The highlight of the weekend was ‘Exercise Striking Lion’, which saw the cadets put their navigation, leadership, and thinking skills to the test. Teams were tasked with gathering intelligence from friendly forces about the field, which the Platoon Commanders Jack Sandilands and Jessica Chen then used to locate enemy positions and prepare for a company attack. In the end, three platoons successfully removed the enemy threat.

Good work, cadets!
