Black History Month: pupils take on multimedia project
7th October 2022
To mark Black History Month, Form 1 and 2 pupils in the History and Modern Studies Department are working together to create a multimedia digital presentation to highlight the history, achievements, culture and contributions of black people both in the UK and across the globe.
This pupil led project will explore a wide range of people, events, tragedies and celebrations in Black History with the aim of creating a digital resource that can be shared more widely with the school community.
Head of History and Modern Studies Gordon Fyall said, “The project is a celebration of Black History but also aims to support our community in being able to actively challenge racism, eliminate racial discrimination and advance equality and inclusion.”
We can’t wait to see the outcome of this inspiring project.
