An Apple a Day the L2 Way!

That’s because pupils in the year group have just taken part in their very own special event devoted to the fruit and all its glory!

To mark Apple Day, the children dressed in greens and reds before sinking their teeth into a range of themed activities which had been organised to complement the topic of Farming and Food.

The youngsters learned all about the different types of apples which are available, had a go at some apple-themed maths puzzles, and examined the health benefits of the fruit.

They also looked at products which contain apples, made sure they could core-ectly label the various parts of the fruit, and – to round things off – performed a special version of Little Red Riding Hood in which the wolf (very sensibly!) decides to eat apples instead of grandmas!
