Pupils from F1-F6 enjoyed the opportunity to play their favourite pieces on Trinity Hall’s grand piano in front of an eager audience of their peers, parents, and teachers.

Throughout the day, pianists from across the school, ranging from beginners to those working towards ABRSM exams, showed off their skills, and in the evening around 30 of the pupils put on a fantastic evening recital.

The event, a long-standing HSD tradition, celebrates the piano and allows the pupils to step up and perform pieces from classical to contemporary. The performances included pieces from film scores such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Pirates of the Caribbean, classics by Chopin and Schubert, and contemporary numbers like Ed Sheeran’s The Joker and the Queen and Coldplay’s Fix You.

The event went off without a hitch thanks to the organisation of piano instructors Stephen Armstrong and Avril Evans.

Well done all!
